My wife and I have been staying at The Lypiatt for some years as we have family in the area. As there are two young children we decided to stay in The Lypiatt so we did not make extra work for the kids. I was a bit apprehensive trying to book this time as I knew there was likely to have been a change of management. My concerns were in no way founded and from the time I called to book till the time we left the care and attention to our stay way excellent. Jeff took great care of us and his breakfast skills were up to the very high standard set by the previous management. Our room, Montpelier, which we like was very clean and the beds very comfortable and welcoming.
The temporary lack of an alcohol licence did not concern us a bit and Jeff is putting this to rights.
The situation in the town is great as it is very central and there are so many excellent eating places of all types locally for an evening meal. We had an enjoyable and comfortable stay as always and will be back again before long.
