Cheltenham’s renowned tree lined Promenade provides the centre for excellent shopping, with Regent Arcade leading to the High Street and Beechwood shopping centre. There is something of interest for everyone!

Festivals & Events

National Hunt Racing

The annual 4-day Gold Cup Festival is the most prestigious horse race meeting over fences in the world. All meetings draw the very best horses to provide unsurpassed sporting occasions.

Additionally at the race course, the Centaur has become popular for exhibitions such as Homes and Garden, LAPADA antiques, concerts and other special interest activities.

Cheltenham Town Hall

This imposing Victorian building in Imperial Gardens is the centre for many renowned arts festivals – the Music Festival in the summer, the Literature Festival in October, the international Jazz Festival over the May Bank holiday weekend and the Folk Music festival in February. Additionally the Science Festival is held in June.

Cricket Festival

The ‘oldest’ cricket festival, held at Cheltenham College each summer.

Restaurants and Entertainment

There are many good restaurants within easy walking distance, for all tastes including The Champignon Sauvage.

The Everyman and Playhouse theatres, night clubs and Odeon cinema are all situated in the town centre.
